Meet the Staff

Each member of Quintessentially's team has years of experience and is an expert in his or her field, with a wealth of contacts and connections. All share a passion for quality wherever it is found and are committed to seeking it out for Quintessentially's members.

Our staff now comprises almost 700 people globally, and the below sections show just a sample of our staff.

Mozambique

Paul Lord | CEO

Born in the UK and bred in Mozambique, Paul decided that Mozambique’s future in tourism was very promising. After attending Shannon Hotel College in Ireland and furthering his experience in Switzerland and London, he established an island lodge that was rated among the Top 100 Lodges in the world, before setting up Quintessentially Mozambique.

Edgar Baloi | CFO

Edgar has a background in Corporate Finance and Internal Auditing both in Mozambique and South Africa. He now works at Quintessentially Mozambique supporting back office functions. In the course of his studies, Edgar has been exposed to several different cultures and approaches to life in Mozambique, Swaziland (Waterford), South Africa (Rhodes, University of Cape Town) and England (SOAS).

Candido Give | Office Manager

Born in Mozambique and raised in South Africa, Candido returned to Mozambique before joining Quintessentially to work as head receptionist and a villa manager at top five-star hotels. He loves to travel and to meet new people.

Jose Mossiane | Partner Relations Manager

Mossiane spent the early years of his life in the Southern Mozambique. After training and graduating as a French teacher, he decided that his talents would be well suited to the service industry, and spent the next ten years learning the ins and outs of the hotel business. Rising to the position of Deputy General Manager at one of the best five star hotels in Mozambique, he also gained high accolades in Hospitably Management in Austria, passing the course with Distinction. Having joined Quintessentially, José Mossiane is keen to explore exactly what ‘true’ luxury is all about.

Luis Novela | Member Assistant

Born and raised in Mozambique, Luis worked as receptionist and reservation agent in a top five star hotel, where he gained a wealth of experience in guest service. Luis has a great passion for tourism and enjoys listening to Jazz music and meeting new people.

Filipe Tembe | Office Administrator

Having completed his schooling in both Mozambique and Portugal, Filipe is currently studying for an undergraduate degree in tourism and tourism company management with the objective of becoming a specialist in this area.
