GETTING AROUND
From The Airport...
Most of the Vegas hotels are located on the Strip and can be reached by taxi from the airport (though during popular high-travel periods the wait in the taxi line can be up to an hour or more long) so we recommended a transfer in a car service to your hotel or destination.
Around Town...
Driving is an option if you don't plan on spending too much time drinking (walking the streets with open containers of alcohol is legal in Vegas) and valet parking at all the casinos is complimentary. Otherwise, we recommend hiring a car service or taking taxis. They are plentiful and inexpensive (no journey is likely to cost more than USD 20, and most will cost considerably less) and there are taxi ranks at all casino entrances.
WHEN TO GO
Las Vegas is located in the centre of the Vegas Valley and is surrounded by mountain ranges. The weather is typical of a desert climate, with summer temperatures routinely exceeding 38˚C/100˚F and winter temperatures often dropping to 4˚C/40˚F. Spring or summers are prime times to visit, where poolside private cabanas and daytime pool parties attract bikini-clad revellers. Winter also has its perks, as the notorious New Year’s Eve celebrations never disappoint—the Strip blocks all cars off and is open to pedestrian-only traffic, creating one massive block party in anticipation of the big countdown.
Public Holidays and Dates of Interest:

WHERE TO STAY
A difficult choice since all the major casinos on the Strip are fabulous mega resorts, with thousands of rooms, award-winning restaurants, amazing spas and pools, and popular clubs. The following briefly describes main attractions:
ARIA
The contemporary architecture of the ARIA tower is complemented by the resort’s lavish accommodations. Guestroom corridors streaming with natural light open to areas of enclosed glass, delivering spectacular city or mountain views. Within ARIA’s 4,004 guestrooms, including 568 suites, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer magnificent views of Las Vegas’ striking skyline. ARIA’s tower is uniquely designed to deliver corner-window views from every guestroom.

A trip to Vegas is not complete without watching one of Cirque du Soleil’s world-famous shows. Cirque du Soleil features some of the most talented performing artists in the world—acrobats, dancers and contortionists — you name it, they have it. Cirque du Soleil shows are in a class of their own; they cannot be classified as just a circus act, or even as simply a show - they are an experience. Listed below are all of the Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas:
KÁ at MGM Grand - The latest creation from Cirque du Soleil combines acrobatic performances, martial arts, puppetry, multimedia and pyrotechnics to illustrate the nature of duality. KÁ tells the story of separated twins who embark on a perilous journey to fulfill their linked destinies.

Mystère at Treasure Island - Venture into a world filled with brilliant colours and strange creatures on a journey to the edge of human potential. Mystère is a dynamic kaleidoscope of sights and sounds performed in a state of the art theatre. The international cast consists of 72 featured dancers, singers, musicians, champion-calibre acrobats and a sole misguided clown.
O at Bellagio – Perhaps the most successful Cirque du Soleil show ever, the international cast of world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and characters perform in, on, and above water to create an absolutely breathtaking experience in a magnificent theatre reminiscent of a European opera house.
Zumanity at New York New York - This international cast of 50 eclectic and flirtatious performers and musicians reaches out and takes the soul of the audience on a 90-minute encounter, awakening primal urges to new forms of eroticism whilst blending movement, style, acrobatics, uninhibited costumes and beautiful bodies with the sensual caress of the human voice and the insistent pulse of exotic rhythms.
CRISS ANGEL Believe at Luxor - A haunting exploration deep inside the inventive mind of magician Criss Angel as he hovers between the land of the living and a surreal world uniquely woven together by the distinctive imaginations of Criss Angel and Cirque du Soleil. Unlike traditional magic-themed shows, CRISS ANGEL Believe transcends any preconceived notion of what it means to be emotionally engaged by the arts of mysticism and illusion. Imagine a fantasy, an allegory, a highly theatrical tableau of mood, reverie and emotion set against a backdrop of dreamlike darkness and light.
Viva Elvis at ARIA - Viva Elvis is Cirque Du Soleil’s latest incomparable production and it is a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics and live music, and is a tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley. Nostalgia, modernity and raw emotion provide the backdrop for his immortal voice and the exhilaration and beauty of his music.
La Reve at Wynn - French for "the dream," Le Rêve is a stunning journey of the soul; a masterpiece just like the Picasso painting it's named after. Through amazing acrobatics, aquatics and even flight, it explores concepts of damnation, redemption, lust, love, loss and laughter. The breathtaking performances are done in an intimate aqua theatre in-the-round. The show features aerial acrobatics, provocative choreography and artistic athleticism. The cast of 85 captures the imagination with their outrageous antics and daring feats of strength and agility. Live music and elaborate special effects immerse the audience into a world of fantasy, adventure and intrigue.
