Taking inspiration from ‘orphan artefacts’, this quirky designer has breathed new life into antique objects as eclectic as shoe lasts, oil cans, surveyors’ tri-pods and blow torches. The city of Melbourne fires up to host the 25th annual Formula 1 Grand Prix which takes place around the iconic Albert Park Lake. This year the F1 elite such as Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen will battle it out against Australia’s own Mark Webber at speeds in excess of 300 km per hour.
