Events: 90th Salzburg Festival, Salzburg
The famous Salzburg Festival is already in full swing, but thanks to Quintessentially, you still have the chance to watch one of the amazing concerts, operas or plays throughout August. The 90th Salzburg festival is taking place under the motto 'Where God and Man Collide - The Downfall of the Myth from the Spirit of Music' and features opera premieres like 'Romeo et Juliette,' 'Norma,' 'Phädra' and 'Orfeo ed Euridice.'
Another highlight this year will be the performance of Gérard Depardieu, who will feature alongside the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra, under the conductorship of Riccardo Muti. The French Hollywood star is speaking the 'Lélio' at the symphony 'Lélio ou le retour à la vie op. 14b' from Sunday the 15th until Tuesday the 17th of August, daily at 11.00am.
