Family/Children’s Activities: Autumn Festivity at Bärenwald, Arbesbach
If you want to spend a nice day outside with the kids or donate some money for a very good cause, visit the lovely bear forest (Bärenwald) in Arbesbach, Lower Austria, around one and a half hour’s drive from Vienna.
The project by the international animal charity four paws gives circus bears – suffering under alienation and species-inappropriate habitats - a new home in a natural environment. Six brown bears are currently living on the 14.000 m² huge park.
On Sunday, 19th September, the autumn festivity is offering a brilliant programme for kids from 11am – 5pm. Visitors can take part at a quiz rally, win prices at the tombola, get funny make-up and watch a lovely puppet theatre complete with music.
If you want to support the project, please adopt a bear and spend 20 EUR per month that will provide it with food and medical care.
