Events: New Year's Concert, Vienna
Access the inaccessible and take part in the much sought-after New Years Concert 2011 of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The world-famous Orchestra inspires listeners all over the world with the versatile repertoire of the Straub dynasty and their contemporaries.
This year’s concert, which is broadcasted in over 70 countries will be conducted by renowned Austrian conductor Franz Welser-Möst. Welser-Möst was music director of the Cleveland Orchestra and since September 2010, he has been the general music director of the Vienna State Opera.
With the invitation of the sixth Austrian conductor in the glorious history of the New Year’s Concert, the organizers emphasise the joint work of opera and concert.
We have a few tickets for the dress rehearsal on the 30th and 31st December, as well as the New Years Concert on Saturday, December 1st.
