Hardy Amies
Established in 1946, Hardy Amies introduced his Haute-Couture collections at No. 14 Savile Row to society ladies, including British aristocracy and Hollywood actresses.
Granted the Royal Warrant in 1950 as Dressmaker to The Queen, Hardy Amies continued with successful growth and eventually launched his menswear collection in 1961.
Sir Hardy was considered a pioneer in the men’s fashion world: he was the first to lower the waist on men’s tailoring; the first to present a runway show for men (the most famous one at the Savoy Hotel in the early 1960s) and the first to introduce a soundtrack to catwalk shows.
The newly re-launched brand continues to push the boundaries in men’s fashion, under the supervision of Creative Director, Claire Malcolm - always with the view of creating style for the modern English Gentleman.
